Crawler traction where wheeled access is limited

The HS crawler range combines electric power, rubber-crawler traction, pivot steering and an extension deck. Four 1.60 m chassis models add automatic hydraulic levelling outriggers.

Crawler traction
The rubber-crawler chassis provides a larger contact area and stronger traction than a small slab-floor tyre package. Ground bearing capacity still requires confirmation.
Electric drive and braking
The travel system uses sealed permanent-magnet synchronous motors with IP67 protection and electromagnetic braking.
Platform extension
The larger chassis use a 0.9 m extension deck. The compact chassis use a 0.6 m extension. Published extension-deck load is 113 kg.
Levelling outriggers
HS0816TP, HS1016TP, HS1216TP and HS1416TP include automatic hydraulic levelling outriggers with individual outrigger control.

Performance in Real Work

Traction and surface pressure

Crawler contact improves traction on suitable unfinished surfaces. Confirm ground strength, buried services, slope, soft areas and allowable surface pressure before travel or elevation.

Chassis width and stabilisation

The 0.78–0.83 m machines suit restricted access. The 1.60 m models add outriggers for sites where the larger stabilised chassis is appropriate.

Battery and charging

Compact models list 24 V lead-acid or lithium configurations. Larger models list 80 V lithium power. Confirm charger input, shift length and charging time.

Recommended applications

  • Construction, installation and maintenance on verified uneven or sensitive ground.
  • Jobs needing vertical access with crawler traction and electric power.
  • Sites where access width, ground strength, slope and stabiliser footprint can be confirmed.

Application limits

  • The work position needs horizontal outreach or access over an obstruction.
  • The surface cannot support the machine or deployed outriggers.
  • The travel path exceeds the selected model width, slope or ground-clearance limits.

Series Comparison

Compact crawler chassis

Use the 0.78–0.83 m models where access width is the primary constraint and 5.9–6.5 m working height is sufficient.

1.40 m crawler chassis

Use these models for 8–13.8 m working height without the automatic-outrigger package.

1.60 m outrigger chassis

Use the TP models with hydraulic outriggers where the wider stabilised base matches the worksite.

Different work conditions may call for a different machine. Compare the options below, or tell ForkFocus the main task and working height for selection help. If you know the model, you can request a quote directly.

Your requirement

A wheeled rough-terrain chassis may suit the site

Key difference to check

Compare ground conditions, stabilised setup, power, access dimensions and platform load with the crawler chassis.

Your requirement

You need vertical access on firm, level indoor floors

Key difference to check

Compare working height, chassis width, machine weight and platform load across the actual access path.

Your requirement

The task requires reach around an obstruction

Key difference to check

Compare working position, horizontal reach and platform load; vertical crawler access does not provide articulated outreach.

Why Hangcha

Crawler traction where wheeled access is limited.

  • Rubber tracks provide a larger contact area than small slab-floor wheels.
  • Sealed permanent-magnet drive and electromagnetic braking support controlled travel.
  • Extension decks improve access to the work position.
  • Outrigger-equipped models support hydraulic levelling.

Why ForkFocus

Access equipment supply backed by material handling expertise and ForkFocus 360° service.

  • Application and model choice. Compare working height, track width and platform load across compact and larger crawler chassis; distinguish outrigger-equipped TP models.
  • Equipment and configuration quotation. A site description and photos help us discuss ground and setup space. The quote identifies the power and levelling configuration, inspection and transport requirements.
  • One material handling supplier. Coordinate access equipment with forklifts and spare parts for the wider project.
  • Support before and after shipment. Customer-appointed pre-shipment inspection, export coordination, manuals and remote after-sales assistance support the equipment purchase.

Select crawler access equipment for the surface you actually work on. Send a model request or describe the work; ForkFocus will help with the remaining selection details.
