Choose the X platform by work, not only capacity
X Series is one of our main IC-forklift recommendations for customers who need stronger cooling, longer duty cycles and more demanding outdoor performance than the economical A/A2 platforms.
It serves a wider range of markets because the platform covers standard industrial work through heavy-duty applications. An A Series price is not a fair benchmark for X Series until engine, emission package, mast, tyres, attachment hydraulics and working intensity are matched.
X Series IC forklifts cover compact 1.5–3.8 t trucks, 4–5 t mid-size platforms, 5–10 t large-frame models, a dedicated 12 t truck and application-specific container, stone and 6–48 t heavy-duty ranges.
Two trucks with the same nominal capacity can differ in load centre, cooling margin, brake package, mast, transmission and attachment hydraulics. ForkFocus checks those differences against the real load and route before recommending a model.
X Series product routes
1.5–3.8 t X Series IC Forklifts
This range is the practical X-platform choice for mixed factory and yard work when a compact chassis still needs stronger cooling, better visibility and a broad diesel or LPG engine choice. It sits above the basic A platform for fleets that run longer shifts or make repeated outdoor travel.
4.0–5.0 t X Series IC Forklifts
The 4.0–5.0 t X Series is built for heavier pallet, machinery and production-line loads without moving immediately to a large-frame truck. Diesel and gasoline/LPG packages cover different fuel and emission conditions, while the Class III/IV carriage gives more room for heavy forks and hydraulic equipment.
5.0–10.0 t X Series IC Forklifts
This large-frame X Series covers demanding factory yards, steel, timber, paper, machinery and loading work. The 600 mm load centre, high travel speed, port-type transmission options and heavy attachment hydraulics place it above the smaller 4–5 t platform.
12.0 t X Series IC Forklift
The CPCD120-XRG57 is a single 12.0 t industrial platform for dense loads that are too large for a standard 8–10 t truck but do not need a 14–18 t port chassis. It is commonly considered for steel, machinery, moulds, stone blocks and heavy production-line transfer.
5.0–10.0 t X Series Container-Handling Diesel Forklifts
This is not the standard 5–10 t X Series with a different label. The chassis, mast and visibility package are arranged for work inside freight containers, where overhead clearance, free lift and rear visibility decide whether the truck can complete the job safely.
5.5 t X Series Stone-Handling IC Forklift
Stone yards punish ordinary forklifts through dust, impact, high load centres and constant brake contamination. This 5.5 t X Series package is reinforced around the mast, axle, braking, filtration and hydraulic system for slab, block and quarry handling.
6.0–48.0 t X Series Heavy-Duty Forklifts
The 6–48 t X heavy-duty range is for steel, timber, breakbulk, paper, forging, machinery and port work where nominal capacity is only the starting point. Axle load, brake temperature, load centre, fork section, tyre pressure, visibility and hydraulic demand decide the correct platform.

Higher utilisation
Repeated outdoor travel, more direction changes and longer shifts increase cooling, transmission and brake demand.
More demanding loads
Long load centres, high masts, heavy forks and hydraulic attachments require stronger residual-capacity control.
Operator and service efficiency
Visibility, vibration, access and thermal stability affect daily output after the purchase price is forgotten.
