Choose electric or diesel power for outdoor platform work

The HS rough-terrain range combines four electric RP models with three diesel RH models. Power, platform load, drivetrain and stabilizer requirements remain attached to the selected machine.

80 V lithium power system
The four electric RP models use 80 V lithium power and permanent-magnet drive, providing outdoor access without engine exhaust. Charging arrangements are part of the power selection.
Drive and steering arrangement
HS1218RP and HS1418RP combine the narrower chassis with 2×2 drive and steering. HS1523RP and HS1823RP use four-wheel drive with two-wheel steering for their larger, higher-load platforms.
Hydraulic levelling outriggers
One-button hydraulic levelling assists stabilised setup before work at height. The supporting ground and allowable inclination remain operating limits.
Platform configuration
HS1523RP and HS1823RP provide a 680 kg main-platform load and 230 kg extension-deck load.

Diesel rough-terrain models

HS RH diesel scissor lifts with outriggers

HS1223RH, HS1523RH and HS1823RH use Kubota diesel power, four-wheel drive and hydraulic outriggers for outdoor work on verified ground. Working height spans 12–18 m, with platform loads from 680 to 1150 kg.

Diesel duty
A Kubota 36 kW engine, closed two-stage air filtration and automatic low idle support demanding outdoor shifts.
Large platform
The 3.9 × 1.83 m deck extends by 1.2 or 1.45 m and carries a published 230 kg extension-platform load.
Terrain drivetrain
Four-wheel drive, hydraulic disc brakes, solid rough-terrain tyres and 300 mm ground clearance support verified outdoor travel.
Stabilised setup
The published machine length differs with outriggers. Confirm the complete setup footprint and ground bearing before elevation.

Performance in Real Work

Chassis width and transport dimensions

HS1218RP and HS1418RP are 1.74 m wide. HS1523RP and HS1823RP are 2.28 m wide, which changes site access and transport planning.

Main deck and extension-deck loads

Electric RP: main-platform load is 370–680 kg. Extension-deck load is 150 kg on the narrow chassis and 230 kg on the larger chassis.

Diesel RH: main-platform load is 680–1150 kg, with a 230 kg extension-deck load.

Ground condition and levelling

Check ground bearing strength, potholes, ramps, side slope and outrigger footprint. Travel gradeability does not replace the allowable-inclination limits for elevated work.

Recommended applications

  • Outdoor industrial and construction work on verified uneven-ground access paths.
  • Tasks requiring a large platform and higher deck load, with electric or diesel power selected for the site.
  • Sites where gradeability, ground clearance and outrigger deployment can be confirmed.

Application limits

  • The access path is a narrow indoor aisle or doorway suited to a slab-floor scissor lift.
  • The work position requires horizontal outreach or up-and-over access.
  • Ground strength, slope or outrigger footprint cannot be confirmed.

Compare access width, ground support, power, platform load and stabiliser needs with the wheeled RP/RH chassis. Tracks do not remove ground or slope limits.

Your requirement

The work is on firm, level indoor floors

Key difference to check

Compare working height, platform load, chassis width and floor loading where a rough-terrain chassis is unnecessary.

Your requirement

The work position requires reach around equipment

Compare obstacle geometry, articulated reach, platform load and site access. A boom reaches out from the chassis, unlike vertical scissor access.

Why Hangcha

Choose electric or diesel power for outdoor platform work.

  • Electric RP and diesel RH platforms suit different shift and power requirements.
  • Hydraulic outriggers support stabilised outdoor setup.
  • Large decks accommodate personnel, tools and materials within model limits.
  • Purpose-built chassis and drive arrangements suit outdoor access work.

Models and core specifications

Choose electric RP or diesel RH for the outdoor job

Electric RP: choose among four lithium-electric models where site charging is available. The 1.74 m chassis suits tighter access; the 2.28 m models provide 680 kg main-platform capacity with four-wheel drive.

Diesel RH: compare HS1223RH, HS1523RH and HS1823RH for fuel-based outdoor operation. Working heights are 12 m, 15 m and 18 m; HS1223RH carries 1150 kg on the main platform, while the two higher machines carry 680 kg.

ForkFocus will help weigh platform load, power availability and transport access. Travel gradeability does not authorise elevated work on the same slope.

Electric RP models

The four electric RP model comparison separates working height from platform height and keeps deck load, width and gradeability attached to the correct chassis.

ModelWorking heightPlatform heightPlatform loadExtension loadOverall widthGradeability
HS1218RP12 m10 m450 kg150 kg1.74 m40%
HS1418RP14.2 m12.2 m370 kg150 kg1.74 m40%

HS1823RP18.2 m16.2 m680 kg230 kg2.28 m40%

Gradeability is a travel specification, not permission to operate raised on an unlevel surface. Confirm ground strength, allowable inclination and outrigger footprint for the selected machine.

Diesel RH models

HS1223RH12 m10 m1150 kg230 kg2.28 m50%6850 kg

HS1823RH18 m16 m680 kg230 kg2.28 m40%8850 kg

Gradeability describes travel capability. Elevated work still requires the selected model to be within its allowable inclination on verified supporting ground.

Frequently asked questions

Which HS RP model has the highest published platform load?

HS1523RP and HS1823RP each have a published 680 kg main-platform load and 230 kg extension-platform load.

Does 50% gradeability mean the platform can work on a 50% slope?

No. Gradeability describes travel capability. Elevated work remains subject to the machine allowable inclination, ground condition and stabilisation requirements.

Which models are electric and which are diesel?

HS1218RP, HS1418RP, HS1523RP and HS1823RP use published 80 V lithium systems. HS1223RH, HS1523RH and HS1823RH use published Kubota diesel power.
