Double-deep storage needs a route and rack check
Reach depth is only one part of the specification. The truck, rack, pallet and travel aisle must work together at the required lift height.
- Rack geometry
- Measure beam height, pallet overhang, clearances and first- and second-deep positions.
- Aisle geometry
- Confirm Ast, turning area, transfer aisle and any end-of-aisle restriction.
- Load data
- Provide pallet dimensions, maximum weight and actual load centre.
- Capacity at height
- Use the correct mast and load chart for the selected configuration.
- Floor and guidance
- Check flatness, wheel condition and any camera, height indication or guidance requirement.
Double-deep reach truck
Suitable for double-deep racking where storage density justifies reduced direct pallet access. It is not the preferred route where every pallet must remain individually accessible.
Aisle width, mast, reach stroke, pallet, load chart and floor flatness must be verified before model approval.
