Rotating Soft-Pack Clamp
In the industry of forklift attachments, a wide range of push-pull attachment exist to meet diverse material handling needs.
Among them, the rotating soft-pack clamp (Also call pushoffs) stand out as one of the most versatile and practical attachment.
As its name suggests, it combines rotation and push functions — and even allows for pallet retrieval. That makes it one of the most flexible tools for handling these soft-packed cargos with pallets.
1. What It Does
This attachment combines rotating and pushing functions in one unit. It is designed to push loads forward by using a hydraulic pusher plate, enabling fast and efficient unloading without manual handling.
Unlike Push Pull attachment, Inverta Push Clamp doesnt require slip sheets and is capable of recovering pallets due to its bulit-in forks.
It allows operators to:
- Push them off efficiently during unloading
- Rotate the entire load 360° as needed
- Use the forks to lift and retrieve pallets when required.
This makes it ideal for workflows like: “Pick up – Rotate – Push off – Pallet Recovery” — all done by one operator in just a few minutes, without additional manpower. Highly efficient and smooth.
Keeping your pallets in-house means you don’t have to send trucks back just to retrieve them, which can significantly help on reducing the total pallet inventory.
Below is the video about how our inverta puch clamp works:
2. Structural Overview
The Rotating Pusher is equipped with two sets of forks for clamping, a side stabilizer arm for added support, an integrated sideshifter, a rotating base for inverting or repositioning the load, and a push plate for smooth unloading.
- Push Plate: Smooth hydraulic plate pushes the load forward quickly and evenly.
- Forks: Allow pallet retrieval and handling of conventional palletized goods.
- Rotating Base: Enables 360° rotation for dumping or repositioning.
- Top Retainers: Prevent goods from lifting or shifting upward during pushing.
- Side Stabilizer Arm: Provides side support to keep the load steady in motion.
3. Key Applications by Industry
The rotating soft-pack clamp enables the safe and efficient handling of various soft bagged goods.
This attachment is widely used in following industries:
- Building materials – e.g., cement, gypsum, mortar bags
- Agriculture – e.g., fertilizer, feed sacks, seed bags
- Food processing – e.g., flour, sugar, rice
- Chemical & mineral – e.g., powder bags, plastic resin, dry bulk materials
It’s especially useful in operations where bulk bag handling, container loading, and pallet reuse are all part of the same workflow.
4. Selection Guide – What to Know Before Ordering
To choose the right rotating soft-pack clamp, you need a clear understanding of your working conditions and load characteristics. Key points include:
1)Load Type & Size
Make sure the attachment matches your goods’ size, packaging (e.g. soft bags vs boxes), and stability requirements.
2)Total Load Weight
The forklift and attachment combination must support your heaviest loads safely, with extra margin for rotation torque.
3)Rotation Angle
Decide whether you need 180° rotation for tipping or 360° rotation for repositioning.
4)Pallet Usage
If your workflow includes recovering pallets after unloading, choose a model with integrated forks and proper visibility.
5)Stacking Method
If stacking goods vertically, ensure the unit has top retainers and side stabilizers to keep the load from shifting.
6)Mounting & Hydraulics
Confirm that your forklift’s mounting class, hydraulic flow, and control valves are compatible with the attachment.
7)Use Inside Containers
If the attachment needs to work inside standard shipping containers (internal width approx. 2350 mm), the unit’s overall width should be kept within 2300 mm to allow safe entry and maneuverability.
