X Series IC Tow Tractors for Airports and Outdoor Logistics
The X Series IC range covers 2.0–3.0 t and 3.5–8.0 t towing platforms. They suit outdoor or mixed routes where long travel, fast refuelling, engine torque and site access are more important than zero-emission indoor operation.

Airport project experience changes the questions we ask
ForkFocus has supported an overseas airport project involving eight diesel tow tractors.
The project confirms why trailer count, apron gradient, coupling height, stopping zones, shift distance, cabin visibility, service parts and delivery timing must be reviewed as one operating package.
A nominal towing figure cannot describe wet-road braking, turning with multiple carts or thermal load during long repeated travel.

Representative 2.0–3.0 t configurations range from about 23–29 km/h. The 3.5–5.0 t group reaches about 22 km/h and 6.0–8.0 t about 24 km/h.
Gradeability
The range lists up to 30% unladen gradeability. Loaded grade performance depends on trailer mass, surface and rolling resistance.
Cooling and service
Long airport routes and hot climates make radiator capacity, airflow, transmission temperature and service access more important than peak speed alone.

Can an IC tow tractor be used indoors?
Only where local emission and ventilation requirements allow it. Electric equipment is usually the first choice for enclosed facilities.
Why is the nominal tonne figure not enough?
Trailer rolling resistance, route gradient, coupling geometry and braking define the real requirement.
What engine information should be confirmed?
