Free duplex masts are specified around container clearance, including 2.5 m packages for 5–7 t and 2.1 m packages for 8.5–10 t.

- Measure the container door height, internal height, ramp gradient and dock plate—not only the pallet or machine weight.
- Free lift and closed mast height must be confirmed together. A mast can fit the door but still create clearance problems during lift.
- Inside-container exhaust and ventilation require a site-specific risk review; diesel is not suitable for every enclosed operation.
- Camera, lighting and reversing alarms are practical safety equipment in a dark steel enclosure.
- Tyre type, ramp transition and floor capacity must be reviewed before selecting 8.5 or 10.0 t capacity.
